Permit Extension Act
Did you know that certain regulatory approvals and permits issued or in existence between August 15, 2008 and August 15, 2010 were provided an automatic two (2) year extension without the necessity of attending local and /or state meetings to request an extension. Section 173 of Chapter 240 of the Acts of 2010, also known as the Permit Extension Act, was enacted to provide relief for homeowners, developers, and others, who have the benefit of approvals and permits; however, due to the state of the economy, are delayed in moving forward with their projects. The extension provides relief from the costs and delays involved in filing for new approvals and permits should the existing ones expire within the extension period.
